Alaska and British Columbia – Inside Passage, Bears, and Aleutian Islands (Southbound) on MS Fridtjof Nansen
Starting in the gold-rush town of Nome, we’ll birdwatch on the isolated islands of St. Paul and St. Matthew before visiting bustling Unalaska and the abandoned town of Unga. Look for Bald Eagles in Chignik Bay and brown bears in Katmai National Park. The expedition cruise ends in Vancouver after visiting the Misty Fjords and the mixed heritage towns of Wrangell and Sitka.
MS Fridtjof Nansen is the latest addition to Hurtigruten’s fleet of custom-built ships – and represents the next generation of expedition ships. She will explore some of the most spectacular corners of the globe.
Featuring Hurtigruten's revolutionary, battery hybrid powered propulsion system, MS Fridtjof Nansen will be a near identical twin to her sister ship MS Roald Amundsen.
Combining state of the art technology and a premium on board experience with Hurtigruten’s 125 years of experience and unparalleled destinations, the two Norwegian built ships introduce the next generation of adventure travel.
